United Contractors (UCON), is a forward-thinking trade association representing union-affiliated contractor businesses and associate firms throughout the Western United States. UCON is a full service association, assisting our members in union and labor representation, lobbying and government advocacy for market expansion, industry-specific training and education programs, relationship building and networking, legal referral programs and safety services. We exist to improve our members’ competitiveness through innovation, proactive strategies, caring relationships and the principles of unity and integrity.

Our members represents the next generation in construction industry leadership. We are a group of 400+ contractors, vendors, and engineering and design firms connected to each other and committed to taking action and getting results. UCON members perform more than $ 5 billion in contracts each year and employ more than 25,000 individuals in the industry. Our members include heavy civil engineering companies of all sizes who perform critical infrastructure work throughout the Western United States, including grading, paving, utility, bridge, power, water, transit rail, airport and more. Because of our members, UCON is the largest and most influential union contractors association in the Western United States.
