Cornhole Tournament Rules
Game Play
All eight cornhole bags begin at one end of the board (four blue, four yellow). A coin flip determines which cornhole team has honors in round one. The team with honors tosses first.
A cornhole player may throw from anywhere behind the front of the cornhole board (on the side they are throwing from). Alternate throws between the two opponents until all eight cornhole bags have been thrown.
QUALIFYING ROUND
- Consists of four (4) games and the score will be kept by total points.
- Each team will have three rounds of tosses (twelve tosses per person, per game).
- Teams will record their own scores for this round. Return your scorecards to a volunteer in a yellow lanyard.
- The top point scoring teams advance.
SWEET SIXTEEN
- Eight teams advance (play to 15 points). The first team to reach 15 points at the end of the round wins.
ELITE EIGHT
- Four teams advance (play to 15 points). The first team to reach 15 points at the end of the round wins.
FINAL FOUR
- Two teams advance to the Championship Round (play to 21 points).
- The remaining two teams play for third and fourth place. The first team to reach 21 points at the end of the round wins.
CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND
- The first team to score 21 points at the end of the round wins the tournament. Cornhole!
