Cornhole Tournament Rules
Game Play
All eight cornhole bags begin at one end of the court (four blue, four yellow). A coin flip determines which cornhole team has honors in round one. The team with honors tosses first.
A cornhole player may throw from anywhere behind the front of the cornhole board (on the side they are throwing from). Alternate throws between the two opponents until all eight cornhole bags have been thrown.
Qualifying Round
Consists of four (4) games, and the score will be kept by total points.
Each team will have three rounds of tosses (twelve tosses per person, per game).
Teams will record their own scores. Return your scorecards to a volunteer in a yellow lanyard.
The top point-scoring teams from each pool advance.
Sweet Sixteen
Eight teams advance (play to 15 points).
The first team to reach 15 points wins; do not continue the round after 15 is reached.
Elite Eight
Four teams advance (play to 15 points).
The first team to reach 15 points wins; do not continue the round after 15 is reached.
Final Four
Two teams advance to the Championship Round (play to 21 points).
Remaining two teams play for third and fourth place.
Championship Round
The first team to score 21 points wins the tournament (must win by two points).
