Grant Opportunities Available from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District
Grants Available to Replace Off-Road Equipment
The Bay Area Air Quality Management District (Air District) announces grant opportunities currently available to replace off-road equipment through the Air District’s various grant programs.
The Air District is currently accepting applications on a first-come, first-served basis for projects that reduce toxic air emissions and ozone-forming pollutants from older, polluting diesel or large spark engines located in the Bay Area. Grant funding is available for equipment replacements, engine retrofit, engine replacement (repower), and electric charging infrastructure for public and private fleets with off-road and agriculture equipment. Eligible equipment includes loaders, tractors, dozers, excavators, scrapers, forklifts, ground support equipment, portable generators, concrete pumps, woodchippers, water pumps, and more.
Projects are evaluated based on the amount of emissions reduced, with priority being given to projects that operate in communities designated as disadvantaged or low-income based on the California Climate Investments Priority Populations map.
Applications are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until all funds have been awarded. Applications will be accepted until 5:00 PM on February 6, 2025.
