2027 38th Annual DIG Awards

This year, we are proud to recognize Michael Crawford, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Sukut Construction, LLC, as the recipient of the 2027 DIG Award. 

Michael's career with Sukut began as an intern in 1980. Over the decades, he has advanced through field and executive leadership roles, helping grow the company into one of the nation's leading heavy civil contractors while maintaining a strong commitment to excellence, innovation, and the people who build our industry's most important infrastructure projects.

His contributions extend far beyond Sukut. Michael has dedicated decades of service to advancing the construction industry through leadership positions with the Southern California Contractors Association, The Beavers, American Contractors Insurance Group, and numerous labor-management trust funds. His efforts have helped shape important conversations around transportation, labor relations, environmental stewardship, and industry advancement.

Michael's commitment to service also reaches into the community through his support of organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley and his dedication to developing future industry leaders.
