Growing Our Team to Better Serve You.
Strengthening UCON with Two Key Additions to Our Team
UCON is building the future of advocacy for California’s union contractors, and announces two leadership additions that strengthen our ability to serve our members and move the industry forward.
Welcome Anna M. Carno and Jennifer Galenti, to key leadership roles that expand our capacity to serve, support, and advocate for union-signatory contractors across California.
Anna and Jenn both embody the values that define UCON: drive, integrity, authenticity, credibility, and genuine care. They are relationship-centered leaders who raise the bar on what we can accomplish for our members.
Anna M. Carno joins UCON as Senior Advisor, Agency Relations
She will serve in a contracted role while continuing to lead Carno Law Group. Anna will represent UCON across key state and local agencies, driving solutions, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring contractors have a strong voice where decisions are made.
A respected construction attorney with more than 25 years of experience, Anna brings deep expertise in agency policy and regulatory matters. Many of our members know her as an Associate Member, Regional Executive Council member, Chair of UCON’s Public Works Summit, and as a trusted advisor who understands contractors’ real-world challenges and works relentlessly to solve them.
Agency relations are foundational to UCON’s mission, and Anna brings the credibility and experience to ensure our members’ biggest challenges and opportunities are effectively advocated for at the state and local levels.
Jennifer Galenti joins UCON as Director of Executive Affairs
Well-known and respected by contractors and labor leaders, Jennifer brings more than a decade of experience in organizational operations, most recently as Director of Operations for the California Alliance for Jobs, an industry-founded labor-management coalition. She previously served in the office of the California State Senate President Pro Tempore and on the State Senate Judiciary Committee. Jennifer will work alongside CEO Emily Cohen to help execute the next phase of growth for the organization.
Jenn will focus on accelerating our top priorities and scaling UCON’s impact across the membership and industry.
Where We’re Headed

UCON is focused on deepening labor and political advocacy, strengthening agency influence, and creating a stronger business environment for California’s union contractors, all while remaining rooted in a founder's mentality of genuine care and commitment to every contractor we represent.
