Special Labor Negotiations Update - New Agreements Now in Effect

The following union agreements expired on June 30 and new ones became effective July 1, 2026. Summaries of Modifications are available for UCON members on the Union Agreements & Rates page and in the Contractor Resources Library. Full agreements will also be available there once completed. We've included all available links below for your convenience (member log-in required).

LABORERS (S. CA) MLA
A tentative agreement has been reached for a new agreement 2026-2030, which combines San Diego with the other 11 counties. The ratification process is underway for both UCON and the Union.

LABORERS (S. CA) PARKING & HIGHWAY AGREEMENT
A tentative agreement has been reached. Full details will be released once the agreement is ratified by all parties.  

Negotiations are still ongoing for other specialty agreements in both Northern CA (Landscape, Traffic Control/Hwy Improvement) and Southern CA (Landscape), and will be starting soon for Cement Masons, Carpenters and Pile Drivers in Northern California.
