Agency Relations

United Contractors works on behalf of our members, connecting them directly to local and state agencies, including Caltrans, the California State Licensing Board (CSLB), the State Water Resources Board, Cal/OSHA, the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), local public works agencies throughout California, local city leaders, and more. This unique access to agencies gives UCON members the chance to advocate for their business interests and play an influential role in shaping the construction landscape.

We invite you to leverage this benefit—be part of the conversations that matter and help shape the industry we all work in. Your insights and involvement are not only welcomed but essential to the future of California construction.

UCON Construction Policy Recommendations: San Francisco

The UCON San Francisco Contractor Committee, comprised of the UCON team, multiple Bay Area contractors, and industry leadership, has produced a policy report outlining key reforms that we urge the city to implement. These targeted reforms would improve procurement, reduce delays, increase competition, deliver measurable cost savings, and much more. Implementation of these reforms will provide strong ROI outcomes for both the city and the contractor community.
